Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His work has led to major international progress into the Latin pop culture. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Best Song in the year 2017. In 2017, he released ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. In 2020 he released the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina and also collaborated on Mala Influencia together with Noriel. The singer appeared in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo came from a musical family his mother and older brother are both musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory element of his existence. He learned how to play the saxophone and guitar as well as the ukulele, and keyboard when he was an infant. Though his original goal was to be a vet, his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons from the famous Cuban.
